Title bar

The title bar is a horizontal bar that is present at the top of the window. It displays the title of the file. The title of a file mainly consists of a file name and the application name or vice versa. Say we are creating a file on a Textpad application and we have saved the file with the name ‘DemoFile.txt’ so the title bar will show something like the below:

Textpad – D:\DemoFile.txt

Textpad is the application or program name
D:\DemoFile.txt is the directory and file name combined

  2. The title bar contains the application icon. In the above image, we can see the TextPad icon.
  3. The title bar helps to move the window from one position to another. Left-click on the title bar using a mouse and drag the window.
  4. The title bar also contains 3 small buttons: minimize button, maximize button, and close button.
  • Minimize button is used to minimize or shrink the current window.
  • Maximize or restore button is used to enlarge or restore the current window.
  • The close button is used to close or exit the application.
