Quick access toolbar

As the name says quick access toolbar is used to quickly access some common and mostly used operations in an application. Quick access toolbar is present in Microsoft applications like Ms. Word or Ms. Excel etc. It will be available at the top of the document in line with the title bar.

In the above image Undo command, Redo command, and Save are present as part of Quick Access toolbar.

  • We can customize the quick access toolbar. If we right-click on the quick access toolbar section we will get an option to customize it. We can add different commands to it.

In the above image, we can see we are having multiple options to add as part of the Quick Access toolbar. Say we will add a Copy command then we will be able to see the Copy command in the Quick Access toolbar.

  • We can remove the functions from the quick access toolbar. If we right-click on the image (option) of the quick access toolbar section we will get an option to remove that function from the quick access toolbar.
  • We can move the quick access toolbar below the ribbon. If we right-click on the quick access toolbar we will see an option to ‘Show Quick Access Toolbar Below the Ribbon’. If we select that option then the view of excel will be like below
